New TLP Server Fangbreaker is Live

This server came out on May 28th. I’m late 🙂
Overall the server has had a poor initial reception due being stuck in Shadow of Luclin until 2/5/26 when Planes of Power finally unlocks, with the majority of that time being underleveled. A positive part of this server is that it has what Darkpaw is calling “Resource Hunter”, which is basically increased loot, XP, and spawn rates in random zones that changes daily. Think daily hotzones but better.
TLDR Ruleset Notes:
- Random daily “hotzones” that will have increased loot, spawn rates, and XP.
- All expansions up to Shadows of Luclin will be released on Day 1. Level 50 will be the cap during this time. On July 24, 2025 you can be level 51, on September 18, 2025 you can be level 55, on November 13, 2025 you can be level 60, on February 5, 2026 Planes of Power will be released.
- Encounter Locking
- On server release you can box 2 characters per computer. Once PoP is released you can box as many as you want.
- Legacy Characters (The more max level characters you have, the more XP bonus your alts get on that account. 10% more XP per max level character you have. So if you have 5 characters at max level, your 6th character will have a 50% XP bonus. Max level personas also count towards this. AoC lockouts are also character based instead of Account based on Legacy Character rulesets.
- Gear will have Recommended Levels instead of Required Levels.
- During Luclin era when players are underleveled, players will have an easier time landing spells on high level NPC’s to compensate for being underleveled.

In response to the community feedback on the upcoming TLP server, the Everquest Team has made the following changes:
– Launch with Ruins of Kunark to Shadows of Luclin unlocked and level locked to 50
– Increase level lock to 51 after 8 weeks
– Increase level lock to 55 after 8 weeks
– Increase level lock to 60 after 8 weeks
– Unlock Planes of Power after 12 weeks
– New expansions unlock automatically every 8/12 weeks

EverQuest 2025 Producer’s Letter Announced

The letter includes information on the new TLP server, which will launch on May 28, 2025. It will include:
- Random daily “hotzones” that will have increased loot, spawn rates, and XP.
- All expansions up to Shadows of Luclin will be released on Day 1. Level 50 will be the cap during this time and will last 24 weeks (6 months).
- Encounter locking
- True Box removed during PoP
- Legacy Characters (The more max level characters you have, the more XP bonus your alts get on that account. 10% more XP per max level character you have. So if you have 5 characters at max level, your 6th character will have a 50% XP bonus. Max level personas also count towards this. AoC lockouts are also character based instead of Account based on Legacy Character rulesets.
Note: The following is not written well in the letter and is a little unclear to me, but this is my interpretation of it. I recommended reading the letter for yourself, which is linked below.
- After 24 weeks has passed since server launch, the level cap will be raised to level 60 for 12 weeks (3 months) with the same expansions being available (up to Shadows of Luclin). This means 9 months of Shadows of Luclin.
- Once 12 weeks (3 months) has passed of a level 60 cap during Shadows of Luclin, PoP will be released.
- Level 70 era expansions will release at an increased speed.
