Warrior 1.0 Epic Guide – Jagged Blade of War

The Warrior 1.0 Epic can be broken into 7 sections.

1) Red Scabbard
2) Ancient Sword Blade
3) Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt
4) Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt
5) Ancient Blade
6) Final Turn-in: Jagged Blade of War
7) Augment your Epic (Augmentation Quest)

Part 1 – Red Scabbard

1A) Go to East Freeport. Say “what favor” to Kargek Redblade to receive Wax Sealed Note.

1B) Go to Feerrott. Give Oknoggin Stonesmasher Wax Sealed Note to receive Tiny Lute.

1C) Go to East Freeport. Give Kargek Redblade your Tiny Lute to receive Redblade’s Legacy.

1D) Go to Permafrost Keep. Kill a goblin wizard and/or a goblin warlock. Loot a Heart of Frost. It seems to be uncommon, but not rare.

Note: While in Permafrost Keep, you can optionally loot a Block of Permafrost from the ice giant area. You’ll can use use it later in the quest (Read Part 2 of this guide before farming this). It is not mandatory if you choose Part 2, Option 1 , but is used in Option 2 Part 2. I actually recommend against farming it as Part 2 Option 1 is typically much easier.

1E) Go to East Karana. Locate Tenal Redblade at the bottom of the gorge below the Highpass Hold zoneline.

Give Tenal Redblade your Redblade’s Legacy to receive Totem of the Freezing War.
Give Tenal Redblade both the Totem of the Freezing War and Heart of Frost to receive Totem of Fiery War.

1F) Collect 4 items from raid bosses:

Green Dragon Scales (Tradable, check the Bazaar)
Drops from:
Severilous – Emerald Jungle
Hoshkar – Veeshan’s Peak

Red Dragon Scales (Tradable, check the Bazaar)
Drops from:
Nagafen’s Lair: Lord Nagafen
The Hole (2.0 Only?): Echo of Nortlav
Skyfire Mountains: Talendor

Hand of the Maestro – Drops in Plane of Hate from Hand of the Maestro.

Drop rate supposedly varies based on era. I have always gotten it on the first kill (did the quest twice, and killed him more often than that). You can also spawn him via an Agent of Change. Respawn time reported 12 hours, but I have not confirmed.

Spiroc Wingblade – Drops in Plane of Sky on Island 5 from The Spiroc Lord.

He death touches so bringing two tanks and and someone to resurrect is ideal. If you leave The Spiroc Guardian up (Island 5 boss), The Spiric Lord will respawn upon death, meaning you can farm him for multiple Spiroc Wingblade . It does not always drop, so it is recommended to use this method if The Spiroc Lord is not visibly holding it.

1G) Go back to Tenal Redblade in East Karana.

First give Tenal Redblade:

Green Dragon Scales
Red Dragon Scales
Totem of Fiery War

You will receive Mark of the Sword.

Next give Tenal Redblade:

Mark of the Sword
Hand of the Maestro

You will receive Tenal’s note to Kargek.

1H) Go back to Kargek Redblade in East Freeport.

Give him Spiroc Wingblade and Tenal’s note to Kargek to receive Red Scabbard.

Part 2 – Ancient Sword Blade (2 options)

Option 1 (Recommended)

Kill Denkin Strongpick in Ocean of Tears. Loot Ancient Sword Blade. Always drops.

Note: Approx. 30K HP. Level 55. No faction hits when killed. Respawn time somewhere between 30 and 55 minutes.

Option 2 (Alternative)

Give 4 items to Denkin Strongpick in Ocean of Tears to receive Ancient Sword Blade.

Part 3 – Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt

Collect 3 Items:

1) Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt
Ground spawn in Timorous Deep. You will see it next to the Black King at the chessboard. MAP

He is a rare spawn with any giant in the zone as a PH. It is best to camp the giant forts in the snow area of the zone. Rare Drop. It is also tradable so check the Bazaar.

2) Rejesiam Ore: This is a two part process

2A) Loot Giant Sized Monocle (tradable) from a mountain giant patriarch in Dreadlands. MAP

a mountain giant patriarch is a rare spawn with any giant in the zone as a PH. It is best to camp the giant forts in the snow area of the zone. Rare Drop. It is also tradable so check the Bazaar.

2B) Give Giant Sized Monocle to Mentrax Mountainbone in Frontier Mountains to receive Rejesiam Ore. He can be found in the back of the cave within the giant fort in the middle of the zone.

3) Ball of Everliving Golem – Drops from Dread, Fright, and Terror in Plane of Fear. MAP

Dread and Fright both death touch. Terror does not. Respawn is estimated 2-3 days. Uncommon Drop. They can be spawned in an Agent of Change.

Turn In:

Give Wenden Blackhammer in East Freeport:

Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt
Rejesiam Ore
Ball of Everliving Golem

You will receive Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt.

Part 4 – Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt

Collect 4 items:

1) Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt – Ground spawn in Lake Rathetear. You will see a greenish white flame. The Hilt is almost directly below it on the lake floor. Loc: +2512, +924, -198. MAP
2)Diamond – Random world drop gem. Tradable.
3)Black Sapphire – Random world drop gem. Tradable.
4)Jacinth – Random world drop gem. Tradable

Turn In:

Give Wenden Blackhammer in East Freeport:

Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt
Diamond
Black Sapphire
Jacinth

You will receive Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt.

Part 5 – Ancient Blade

Drops from Queen Velazul Di’Zok in Chardok.

2 hour respawn. Easy kill for a group of people in PoP era gear. You will need someone to lock pick the door that leads to the Royals area. Guaranteed Drop.

Part 6 – Final Turn-in: Jagged Blade of Warr

Combine your quest rewards from section 2-5:
Ancient Sword Blade
Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt
Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt
Ancient Blade

into your Red Scabbard to receive your 1.0 Epic: Jagged Blade of War!

You can turn the Jagged Blade of War into two 1-hand slashing weapons by combining it by itself in the Red Scabbard. You can get your 2-hander back by combing the two 1-handers together.

**Make sure to do Part 7 to get your weapon augment slot!**

Part 7 – Augment your Epic

Give your Red Scabbard and Jagged Blade of War to Gartrog Smitehammer in East Freeport. You will receive the augmented (Type-4) version of both of the 1-handers, and the 2-handed weapon. Text Lore

Note: You will no longer have the Red Scabbard after doing this turn-in.
