Crown of Deceit Quest Guide

WARNING: Certain race/deity combinations have very low starting faction. You will need a wood elf illusion cast on you + use Scalp of the Ghoul Lord (drops from the ghoul lord) to do the turn-in in addition to maxing out faction as much as you can. These appear to include, but may not be limited to Iksars and Trolls that are of the Bertoxxulous, Cazic-Thule, or Innoruuk deities.

1) Go to the Crypts in Sebilis (lockpick required, approx 200)  and kill undead frogs until you reach +750 (Warmly) with Frogloks of Guk faction. They give +25 faction per kill.

While here, you’ll also want to go near Trakanon/Juggernaut locked door area and kill “reet froglok” type mobs until Reet Froglok Crown drops. It can be somewhat rare. This item will be used in the final turn-in.

2) Go to Plane of Knowledge and find Sage Balic. He is on the top floor of building in the map. Say “what magical mask” to receive Picturebook.

3) Head to Upper Guk and find an old froglok (1280, +220). Give him Picturebook to receive Elf Essence Recipe.

4) Now obtain four items:

1x Celestial Essence – Crafted (Baking, Trivial 15, Mixing Bowl, creates 3)
    1x Concentrated Celestial Solvent – Bought (Darius Gandril, Western Trader Building, PoK | Loc: +55, +1520)
    3x The Scent of Marr – Bought (Loran Thu’Leth, Western Trader Building, PoK | Loc: -115, +1400)
1x Dark Elf Parts – Dropped (Dark Elf mobs. Kithicor Forst, Najena, Dulak’s Harbor, Befallen)
1x Elf Essence Recipe – (Given from an old froglok in the previous step)
1x Wood Elf Parts – Dropped (Wood Elf mobs, Lesser Faydark, Ocean of Tears, Crushbone)

1x Reet Froglok Crown – Dropped from reet frogloks in Sebilis. Near Juggernaut area. It can be somewhat rare.

1x Vial of Purified Mana – Summoned (Enchanters, Spell: Purify Mana)   
4x Ruby – Bought (Audri Deepfacet, Northern Trader Building, PoK | Loc: +400, +760)
1x Poison Vial – Bought ( Loran Thu`Leth, Western Trader Building, PoK | Loc: -115, +1400)

Velium Mastodon Fur Cloak – Crafted (Tailoring, 322 Trivial, Sewing Kit)
1x Cloak Pattern – Bought (Higwyn Matrick, Western Trader Building, PoK | Loc: +120, +1480)
1x Platinum Thread – Bought (Higwyn Matrick, Western Trader Building, PoK | Loc: +120, +1480)
4x Velium Mastodon Fur – Dropped (Western Wastes from a glacier mastodon or Tantor, Uncommon drop)
1x Vial of Purified Mana – Summoned (Enchanters, Spell: Purify Mana)
   4x Ruby – Bought (Audri Deepfacet, Northern Trader Building, PoK | Loc: +400, +760)
   1x Poison Vial – Bought (Loran Thu`Leth, Western Trader Building, PoK | Loc: -115, +1400)

5) Give the 4 items to an old Froglok in Upper Guk to receive your Crown of Deceit!
