You’ll need to collect 4 items and give them to Gardern in Temple of Solusek Ro to receive your Staff of Temperate Flux.

Note: You may need at least Indifferent faction to do the turn-in. Hail him and follow his dialogue to make sure he responds to you first.

Darkwood Staff (Tradable – Quest)
Heart of Fire (Drop: Solusek’s Eye – inferno goblin wizard)
Heart of Frost (Drop: Permafrost – a goblin wizard)
Rod of Bone (Drop: Lake Rathetear – a stone skeleton)

Darkwood Staff (Tradable)

1) Loot a Lambent Stone. These mainly drop off sand giants, hill giants, and griffon type mobs. They are generally around level 35-40, and can be found in North/South Ro (sand giants), West/North/East Karana (hill giants), and Rathe Mountains (hill giants). They are also tradable so check with other players/Bazaar. Uncommon drop.

Below is a map of “giant hill” in Rathe Mountains.

2) Give Lambent Stone to Romar Sunto in Temple of Solusek Ro to receive Darkwood Staff.

Note: You can turn this in immediately or wait until you have all of the items required to complete the Staff of Temperate Flux quest if you want to save a trip to Temple of Solusek Ro.

 Heart of Fire

Loot from inferno goblin wizard in Solusek’s Eye. inferno goblin wizard can be a bit rare and spawn in various places in the goblin area. Kill other goblins as PH. A tracker is recommended. Heart of Fire is an uncommon drop. You may have to spend a few spawn cycles here.

Heart of Frost

Loot from a goblin wizard in Permafrost. a goblin wizard be a bit rare and spawn in various places in the goblin area. Kill other goblins as PH. A tracker is recommended. Heart of Frost is an uncommon drop. You may have to spend a few spawn cycles here.

Rod of Bone

Drops from a stone skeleton in Lake Rathetear. There are only 2 of these and they spawn in a tower next to each other. Level 25. Common Drop. Approx. 5 min respawn timer.
